Coway held the starting ceremony of the 3rd Wi School at the head office located in Jung-gu, Seoul, on April 28. The Wi School program was launched in 2016 with the aim of delivering Coway’s business knowhow experiences offering trainings to young people who prepare startups, becoming a leading youth startup support program.
About 30 teams joined this program consisting of business item contests linked with IoT AI technologies in the fields of health appliance beauty, trainings by startup experts, mentoring activities of Coway employees including the CEO. Presentations on business items prepared for three months awards will be conducted on July 21.
At the ceremony, the CEO delivered his welcoming speech the first training was offered. The CEO said, “Systematic learning understing before starting business reduce the probability of failure. The Wi School program will help you succeed in business by sharing our knowhow capabilities with you.”
Sung-joo Cho, the professor of KAIST, delivered a lecture with the theme of “Starting Technology-based Lean Startup,” gaining high popularity from prep entrepreneurs.
Min-sun Lim, a participant, said, “I will supplement the defects materialize my business item through the Wi School program. Particularly, I expect to grab valuable opportunities to learn knowhow stemming from field experts.”
The second startup training will be carried out on May 12, where Hae-sun Lee, the CEO of Coway, plans to give a lecture with the theme of “Entrepreneurship Business Concept in the New Era.”
